The Home Efficiency Rebate Returns

Through the first few months of the year, many Ontario homeowners enjoyed the revamped and expanded Home Efficiency Rebate program from Enbridge Gas. It served as the best rebate program since the GreenON Rebate Program in 2017 for homeowners to receive money back for sustainable home upgrades and energy efficiency home renovations, including improved home insulation.
Unfortunately, on March 17, 2020, the Home Efficiency Rebate was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As of June 15, 2020, however, the program is returning, alongside some extensions, meaning that homeowners can again receive up to $5,000 in Ontario rebates for home retrofit renovations. This offering of up to $5,000 includes $550 in rebates for the required pre- and post-work energy audits that a Registered Energy Advisor must complete to qualify for rebates. The Ontario Home Efficiency Rebate Program Reopens June 15, 2020

Complete upgrades for Attic Insulation, Air Sealing, and a Furnace Upgrade to receive a total rebate of $2,150. This package is perfect for homeowners who are looking to carry out a furnace upgrade before the colder Ontario weather hits. Improved attic insulation and air sealing will ensure that your new furnace operates smoothly!
Bonus Rebate Package #2
Complete upgrades for Attic Insulation and Air Sealing to receive a total rebate of $1,400. Air Sealing is one of the most overlooked home efficiency upgrades available, and works alongside improved attic insulation to ensure that your home is operating at peak efficiency year-round! Complete this package for a home that’s cooler in the summer, hotter in the winter, and provides lower energy bills and higher comfort year-round.
