The all-new Home Renovation Savings Program, launched on January 28, 2025, offers Ontario homeowners rebates for improving their home insulation, air sealing, and more. With up to $5,000 available for natural gas heated homes and up to $10,000 for electrically heated homes, the Home Renovation Savings Program helps make improving your home's energy efficiency and comfort more affordable. At Great Northern Insulation, we understand that a well-insulated home is more than just energy efficient – it's about creating consistent, comfortable temperatures in every room while reducing your energy bills year-round. From attic to basement, our teams can help you navigate the rebate program and your Renovation Upgrade Report to carry out home efficiency improvements as a trusted insulation and energy efficiency contractor. Let's explore the new Home Renovation Savings Program.
The Home Renovation Savings Program offers substantial rebates for home efficiency improvements, with different maximum amounts based on your home's primary heating source. Natural gas heated homes can receive up to $5,000 in rebates, while electrically heated homes qualify for up to $10,000. To participate, you'll need to complete at least two qualifying upgrades, which can include insulation improvements, air sealing, windows and doors, or heat pump water heaters.
By improving your home's insulation and air sealing, you'll enhance your comfort with consistent temperatures throughout your home while reducing your energy consumption. The program also offers additional rebates for heat pumps (up to $12,000), solar panels (up to $5,000), battery storage (up to $5,000), and smart thermostats ($75) that don't require energy assessments.
